Dr William Chavey: I am Dr William Chavey, professor emeritus of Family Medicine at the University of Michigan and I am honored to have been a part of the Consultant360 program talking about heart failure with reduced ejection fraction, along with my colleague Dr Morris from Emory. After listening to this program you could be excited– or overwhelmed. Excited by the incredible number of options available to help improve and extend the lives of our patients who have heart failure with reduced ejection fraction. Overwhelmed by the complexity of adding all of these medications to the appropriate patient populations. I hope you can be excited by the fact that we not only have so many options, we have guidance and it is my hope that you can use the protocols described here to guide you in your care of these patients. If you can do so, you will undoubtedly make a profound impact on these patients' lives.
